On Saturday 27th June over 100 Scouts took to the streets in the annual London Pride parade. This has been the 7th time that Scouting has been represented at Pride showing the world that Scouting is an inclusive and safe place for all members, young and old to be themselves.
Scout Radio were in attendance for the morning meeting along with Dean Jefferys, Region Commissioner for London and Jagz Bharth, Deputy UK Youth Commissioner, as they rallied the troops for the parade.
Before the parade set off there was time for the participants to network and share stories, as well as some bacon sandwiches!

Before long it was time to don fancy dress and face paint and hit the streets of London for the parade where we caught up with some more participants and go their views on Pride.

The parade itself was colourful, joyous and good natured, with crowds 5 deep lining the two mile parade route from Baker Street into Whitehall. Scout Radio was lucky enough to find an American Eagle Scout in the crowd.

With UK Scouting’s involvement in Pride there is little doubt that Scouting is for all.
