Scout Radio’s Adam caught up with Wayne immediately following the opening ceremony were he described what reunion means for him:

It’s the friendship that we get here, for me in particular with Scouting even people that may have a different view than me, people who we’ve debated things and we’ve agreed to differ and we’ll shake hands and here at Gilwell Reunion we can party together, have a good chat and continue to put the world to rights.

With this being Wayne’s handover weekend Adam asked him he feelings ahead of handing the role to Tim Kidd at the end of the weekend:

Doing the role for seven and a half years feels like the  right time to hand on to somebody with some different ideas and a fresh approach

Scout Radio is broadcasting during the event online and via TuneIn smart phone app, we will also be broadcasting the AGM which is taking place at Gilwell Reunion this year from 10:30am Saturday.
