Hitchin Scouts – ScoutITOut to recruit new volunters
Scouts hold activities and real campfire in the Hitchin town centre
On Saturday 13th June, Hitchin Scouts filled the Market Place in Hitchin with a climbing wall, sailing boat, a glider plane and other activities to help promote the youth organisation as part of their SCOUTitOUT campaign.
Despite the rain, there were plenty of people having a go at scaling the climbing wall or even trying to make milkshakes using a pedal bike. There were also opportunities to learn some basic first aid and build flowerpots out of recycled materials.
Each of the activities related to a Scouting challenge badge, including Teamwork, Expedition, Adventure and Creative.
