Around 6,000 Scouts from all over West Yorkshire camped over the bank holiday weekend at Harrogate Event Centre on the Great Yorkshire Showground for Big Camp 2015. The event was one of the largest of it's kind in the country and the participant's were spolit for choice when it came to activities. Some 300 activities were laid on for participants over three days, including laser tag, zorbing, climbing and a 50-metre abseil down the viaduct located next to the extensive showground site. Despite the typical bank holiday weather; wind, rain and more rain, Scout Radio explored the whole site and talked to lots of participants about what they had been up to at Big Camp. We also spoke to the County Commissioner Mark Stageman who expressed his personal feelings on how the event had gone and his

We had the chance to interview lots of young people about their experiences and what they got up to at the event, and we hope to be back at the next Big Camp! "We have tried a radio service at Marra before, but nothing as strong and interactive as Marra Radio that the Scout Radio team came in to run. They are a very friendly, professional and approachable group of dedicated people who fitted right into our operation. From the first email booking them to the weekend its self it was a very smooth hassle free service, which is ideal when organising events of this scale. For many of the young people it would have been their very first chance to take to the airwaves and we received some very positive comments from all who took part, including those who listened on site and at home. Would 100% recommend them for any large scout event and I look forward to working with them in the near future." Stu Bennett Media & Communications Manager Circus Marr...
One World 2013 was Oxfordshire's International County Camp and Scout Radio went along to join in the fun. The action kicked off on July 5th for two days packed full of many of the activities you'd expect at a week long jamboree. Scout Radio provided the chance for Scouts to produce their own show and entertain their friends on site, picking all their favourite music and they were able to listen back to their show via our website when they returned home. Thank you Oxford One World we had a fabulous time in the sunshine. Congratulations on such an action packed weekend. Scout Radio join Wiltshire Scouts @ Longleat for a fun filled weekend camp. Scout Radio set up in somewhat stormy weather in what affectionately became known as the ‘Radio Shack’. Scouts were not deterred by howling winds and came to join us to create their own 30 minute radio shows. We had small groups, large groups and some young people brave enough to take to the mic alone, which made for a really diverse range of stories and experiences of the camp. Thankfully Sunday was brighter and given that the Scouts had tired themselves(and their leaders) out at Longleat the day before, Scout Radio was very busy with people wanting to try on site activities. We soon had a queue out of the door, so towards the end of the day we gave as many people as possible a chance to get on the air by taking
