Its Gilwell Reunion 2015 weekend and from looking at the programme its going to be a fantastic weekend. Scout Radio will be there all weekend bringing you the best bits and more of the weekend for those onsite and for those that couldn't make it. We will be broadcasting LIVE from the training ground Saturday 10am - 4pm and Sunday 10am - 1pm, you can listen live by our studio, or online via the scout radio website and of via mobile / smart phone app "TuneIn". Throughout the weekend we will be interviewing and releasing podcasts & articles about the event and some key people and things going on, after the evet we are aiming to release loads of podcasts & articles hopefully one for every stall and EVERYTHING that happened at reunion. Gilwell Reunion is the 4th to 6th September and is a fun weekend full of activity, workshops and more aimed at the adults in Scouting. The weekend of the 11th and 12th of July 2015 saw 4,000 Explorer scouts descend on Gilwell Park for 24 hours of action packed fun. The event officially started at 9am on the Saturday until 9am on the Sunday, with the challenge to see how many of the Explorers can stay up the entire time and how many of the activities can they do in that time. Over 100 activities from the Bag Drop, Carnival Rides to a 50 meter downhill waterside. Explorers traveled from around the country and even from Europe to take park, joined at the weekend by the UK Youth Commissioner team, Hannah Kentish said "I am really excited to be here this year  and I think its just awesome the amount of activities you can do on one campsite for 24 hours" and Jay Thompson "its an amazing event and I've been based at the #YouSh...

Network members from across the UK travelled to Coventry for the annual 18-25 event The Festival for a weekend of adventure.   The Festival is an annual network event hosted in Coventry at Rough Close Scout Campsite. This year heralded the 10th edition of the popular network event, where over 270 scouts from across the UK descended to the Midlands for a weekend of fun and adventure, Dave and Andrew from Scout Radio went along to join in with all the action.   The camp had a wide range of activities; from a cave bus to archery, crafts to crate climbing, inflatables to Frisbee golf and even an escape room. On Saturday 27th June over 100 Scouts took to the streets in the annual London Pride parade.  This has been the 7th time that Scouting has been represented at Pride showing the world that Scouting is an inclusive and safe place for all members, young and old to be themselves. Scout Radio were in attendance for the morning meeting along with Dean Jefferys, Region Commissioner for London and Jagz Bharth, Deputy UK Youth Commissioner, as they rallied the troops for the parade. National Scout & Guide Symphony Orchestra all set for summer performances

Over 75 Scouts & Guides from all across the UK will join together this summer to form the National Scout & Guide Symphony Orchestra. The NSGSO is a week-long course where Scouts & Guides take part in music rehearsals and masterclasses, which orchestra manager Jill Bowman describes as a "week of fun, friendship and music". The course, which is celebrating it's 40th Birthday nearly didn't go ahead this year after the orchestra was closed down in December.
