There were some strange noises coming from Gilwell Park this weekend, and some very spooooky things happening... as Scouts attending Scarefest had their chance to present their own radio shows on Scout Radio! Along with the tricking, treating, pumpkin carving. climbing, 3G swinging, shooting and screaming (in the scare mazes!) going on at Gilwell, the Scout Radio caravan studio has been in broadcasting all weekend, with groups choosing their own songs, telling us about their adventures and learning to present live on the radio. The weekend camp at the UK Scout Headquarters Gilwell Park gave Scouts and Explorers from all over the country a real fright. Held over Halloween weekend, the event was definitely something a little different. Scout Radio is heading to Scarefest 2016! - The action packed Halloween adventure at Gilwell Park We are broadcasting live from 'The Den' all weekend (near Chubbies and the Market Square), and as well as enjoying our broadcast you can also have a go yourself! You and your friends can have your own mini radio show during the activity session times, why not drop on by to book your own slot on Scout Radio... The entire experience takes about 35 minutes for the planning and being on air! and once you have had your show you will be able to listen back again online here the week after! Scarefest 2015 was hosted at Gilwell Park for the second year, it was an opportunity for Scouts and Explorers to try all sorts of adventurous activities in the dark and of course with a special spooky twist for Halloween. Scout Radio broadcasting live from Scarefest 2015! We are broadcasting live throughout the weekend from our website www.scoutradio.org.uk, TuneIn Smart Phone App (Search "Scout Radio") and from the Camp Square. Come along and have your own mini radio show with the takeover, running during the activity times: Friday Night 7:30pm - 10pm Saturday 10:30am - 5pm Saturday Night 6:30pm - 10:30pm Sunday 9:30am - 12:30pm The Studio to come and have a look, have a show or book a slot is in the Camp Square in the building next to the providore.
