The Scout Radio Team had a fantastic time at Big Camp 2015, we are glad we were invited along and had the opportunity to meet thousands of young people from all over West Yorkshire and further afield as they took part in hundreds of activities. Including presenting their own show with scout radio. We had the chance to interview lots of young people about their experiences and what they got up to at the event, and we hope to be back at the next Big Camp! Listen again to Saturday at Big Camp 2015

Scout Radio has been at West Yorkshire's Big Camp at Harrogate Showground over the May bank holiday weekend, and there's been plenty going on for over 6,000 young people from across Yorkshire to get stuck in to. Cubs and Scouts took part in our 'Let us entertain you' radio taster sessions throughout the day, and our team explored the massive site to find out what was hot at the event. The first May Bank Holiday weekend sees the Scout Radio team heading to the West Yorkshire BIG CAMP, we are broadcasting live throughout the event and and running as an activity to give the YP a chance to be radio presenters! You will be able to listen all weekend via the website and also on any smart phone or tablet with the TuneIn Radio App for Android or Apple devices. If you wanted to have your own radio show for yourself or group then head to the Scout Radio studio thats located between Winter and Autumn, we are running during all the activity times and extra slots in the early evenings. London Marathon 2015 – After the Race

What a fantastic day the London Marathon 2015 was, granted the weather wasn't sunny and hot, but apparently it was just right for running! Scout Radio was around the course at various points interviewing the scouting runners and volunteers who take part and help make it happen, we cheered them along and also gave them a big congratulations at the end. Well done to all the Scouting Runners that have taken part and have helped to raise thousands of pounds for national and local scouting causes. We are Scout Radio, the National Active Support Unit for all things broadcast radio in Scouting in the UK. We are an established team of volunteers from across the country with a background or passion for broadcast radio. We’ve got an aim to increase the amount of broadcast radio activities and content for young people and scouting across the UK. We aim to do this by providing and supporting: Event radio stations Scout Radio can provide and support broadcast radio stations at a wide variety of events, from county camps across a weekend to week long events and jamborees. We can provide presenter led programming, helping to entertain and inform the listeners at the event and those listening online.
