I interviewed UK Youth Commissioner, Hannah Kentish, on top of a mountain within the Arctic Circle. This is a sentence which is seldom uttered by a member of the Scout Association, which is strikingly different to the Wednesday night in the explorer hut where I found myself the week before. Network members from across the UK travelled to Coventry for the annual 18-25 event The Festival for a weekend of adventure.   The Festival is an annual network event hosted in Coventry at Rough Close Scout Campsite. This year heralded the 10th edition of the popular network event, where over 270 scouts from across the UK descended to the Midlands for a weekend of fun and adventure, Dave and Andrew from Scout Radio went along to join in with all the action.   The camp had a wide range of activities; from a cave bus to archery, crafts to crate climbing, inflatables to Frisbee golf and even an escape room. Do you love music? Applications are now open for the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra! If you are between 13-25 and play an orchestral instrument you could be joining the orchestra for a fantastic, fun week of music-making between the 26th July and the 2nd August. As part of the course, you’ll be working with sectional tutors, a professional conductor and have the chance to perform in three special concerts open to groups and the public.
