Scouts Attend First Pride Parade Since Lockdown

Report by Darren Kyte, Scout Pride Co-ordinator for Birmingham Pride This was the first attendance of the Scouts at a pride parade since the lockdown we all experienced. Since the lockdown measures were eased, as scouts, it was important that as lockdown measures have eased we could have as near normal experience taking part in the parade, which was great for everyone's mental health and to show we are still here for our young people who maybe struggling with their sexuality. It's important for them to know that us leaders are here to support them as we slowly all return to face to face scouting.
