The weekend camp at the UK Scout Headquarters Gilwell Park gave Scouts and Explorers from all over the country a real fright. Held over Halloween weekend, the event was definitely something a little different. Scout Radio is heading to Scarefest 2016! - The action packed Halloween adventure at Gilwell Park We are broadcasting live from 'The Den' all weekend (near Chubbies and the Market Square), and as well as enjoying our broadcast you can also have a go yourself! You and your friends can have your own mini radio show during the activity session times, why not drop on by to book your own slot on Scout Radio... The entire experience takes about 35 minutes for the planning and being on air! and once you have had your show you will be able to listen back again online here the week after! The Scout Memorial Unveiling

Scout Radio was proud to be in attendance and help to capture the event, which revealed the result of seven years work by the project team - a project that has seen world wide support and recognition. The memorial recognizes the difference Scouting has made to so many, and remembers the huge amount of service given by so many Scouts across communities and throughout the armed forces. I interviewed UK Youth Commissioner, Hannah Kentish, on top of a mountain within the Arctic Circle. This is a sentence which is seldom uttered by a member of the Scout Association, which is strikingly different to the Wednesday night in the explorer hut where I found myself the week before. Nevertheless, on top of a mountain with the snowline below us, following a gruelling eight hour day on the third day of our Queen Scout Award practice hike Hannah and I sat down for an interview.
