Scout Radio talked to Tesco, a key corporate partner of The Scout Association to find out about their latest project 'Eat Happy' which aims to give children the knowledge and skills they need to have a happy and healthy relationship with food. Alice spoke to Michelle, a community champion for Tesco who told us more about the project. A lot of young people don't actually know where their food comes from, they don't know that eggs come from chickens, milk comes from cows, it all comes from the supermarket, so they're learning the origins of their food. Ashley Wilson is a Scout Leader, a volunteer in Hampshire; and he set off with Scout Ambassador and adventurer James Ketchell on a 3,600 mile adventurous rowing challenge across the Indian Ocean in July this year. The Scouting Memorial Project is a national project to raise awareness of "the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire". It came about through a group of Explorer Scouts during a Diamond Chief Scout Award expedition, with the aim to create a Scouting memorial at the Arboretum amongst the other Youth organisations represented there. Gilwell Reunion is over for another year, but what a fantastic event it was. We spoke to some of those that attended about what they got from it, and the event organisers about how it all went.
